A Beautiful Moment
Normally, sunsets are not my favorite subject. There is no particular reason why I don’t make a bigger deal out of them: they are just not my favorite “thing”. Usually, I prefer the colorful drama and symbolic beginnings of a sunrise but, when a special opportunity presents itself you have to take advantage of it. Never be afraid to stop what you are doing and enjoy a beautiful moment - with a camera or without. Life is short; Eat dessert first.
So often in my travels, or my everyday moments, I see things that inspire thought but, don’t always produce action. Driving along the highways and back roads of New England I see some wonderful scenes but, too often I fail to stop and take advantage of that moment due to a schedule, an inconvenience, or a multitude of other excuses. When I don’t stop I am wrong… very wrong. When I do stop I am investing in myself, my craft, and my memories.
Don’t always wait for the “big” moments. Life is made up of many, many wonderful small moments that are larger, and better, than any one scene.
